Dear Colleagues,

As 2017 draws to a close, I’d like to take this opportunity to wish you a happy and healthy festive season and reflect on what has been a successful and productive year for Bright and its new product, Cited.

We have just passed Cited’s first-year anniversary of the Organisational release, and I’m delighted to report that Cited has exceeded our expectations and continues to gain momentum.

The Cited Story

Cited is an online workforce compliance platform that provides smart, seamless verification and ongoing credentials monitoring and storage. It has enabled us to re-imagine our traditional offering to extend our reach into new sectors and markets, developing a more flexible and scalable business model.

Consistent Revenue Growth

Cited has recorded excellent revenue growth since November 2016, with an impressive average workday revenue increase of 352% (November 2016 – November 2017). Our workday revenue has jumped another 19% in December alone.

Organisation Numbers Increasing

Approximately 400 organisations have registered with Cited since its launch. These include businesses in the transport, healthcare, manufacturing and construction sectors.

A Focus on Collaboration

During the year we were delighted to collaborate with a range of leading organisations. Our partnerships include:

  • The Chamber of Commerce and Industry (WA)
  • Leading Age Services Australia (LASA)
  • Road Freight NSW
  • Master Plumbers and Gasfitters Association of Western Australia (MPGAWA)
  • Biometrics Institute

Cited’s Profile

Cited is fast developing a reputation as a leading, trusted provider of workforce compliance solutions, and its growing profile is reflected through:

  • Events. During the year we addressed stakeholders at a number of industry events, including the Chamber of Commerce and Industry HR Conference 2017: Post Boom Reboot, and the Breakfast Seminar: Workforce Trends and the Winding Road Ahead for Western Australia.
  • Media. Cited and Bright articles featured in mainstream newspapers and industry journals and newsletters.

We have continued to refine our external image, developing the new tagline, ‘Proof at Work.’ This reflects the sourcing of truth, and not just verifying that credentials are valid - but that they belong to the nominated individual.

A Solid Foundation and an Exciting Future

Our tech team has delivered Cited using scalable Blockchain-style architecture, which enables us to leverage our sharing model to consume and process massive transaction and user loads in any jurisdiction. In addition, the team is regularly rolling out feature releases, with our next major release going public on the 27th of December.

With Thanks

Cited achieved extraordinary outcomes in its first year, but these achievements were not delivered without the hard work of a team.  I would like to sincerely thank everyone at Bright, not just the Cited team but all staff, as Cited would not be a reality without the dedication of the people working on our traditional product base.

I would also like to thank our customers, old and new. We have enjoyed some wonderful interactions this year and we genuinely appreciate the support and feedback we have received.

A Personal Note

I feel like I am at the Oscars here, but there are some special folk who I would like to mention.  To my business partner Declan Hoare, Bright Chairman Jon Birman, Board members Ian Callahan and John Shaw – your support has been fantastic. And a special note to my husband David, who has had my back from Day One and who shows great tolerance when the lines between work and home are blurred … which is quite a lot.
