Leadership Appointments in Pioneering Workforce Software Company

Bright People Technologies is pleased to announce two key Executive Appointments; Derek Van Buren as General Manager Product Development and Chris de Josselin as Head of Global Sales and Marketing.

Derek and Chris both have significant resources sector experience in Senior Leadership roles.

Derek’s previous roles includes CIO Asia Pacific with SGS, a global verification and testing company operating in the resources sector locally, as well as 8 years with the Washington Post as Director of IT Solutions. Derek is responsible for the product development strategy for all Bright Technologies Enable products and continuing the Company’s focus on innovation and market led product optimisations.

Chris joins Bright following 10 years with Fujitsu Australia Limited, where he most recently held the role of National Director – Oil and Gas.  

Chris will be leading the Company’s sales and marketing team and also expanding the Company’s international prospects. Bright has secured international contracts and is receiving increasing demand from overseas companies.  Chris’s experience in working with global Oil and Gas and Mining companies will be integral in driving this international expansion.  Chris will be attending the APPEA Conference in Melbourne, 17-20th May at the Bright People Technologies booth.

Both positions report directly to Petra Nelson, Managing Director of Bright People Technologies.

Both roles represent significant leadership positions in the Company and reinforce Bright’s commitment to maintaining its leading position in the energy and resources sector for workforce validation, logistics and accommodation.
